SELF-O-MATIC  IS AN INDUSTRY PROJECT THAT WE DID IN COLLABORATION WITH 20TH CENTURY FOX & SWAROVSKI TO PROMOTE THEIR MOVIE 'THE GREATEST SHOWMAN'. WORKING WITH 5 FASHION DESIGN STUDENTS AND 1 FASHION JOURNALISM, I PRODUCED A FULL CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE GARMENTS THAT ARE BASED ON THE MOVIE.

THE CONCEPT IS BASED ON THE INVENTION OF THE COMMERCIAL PHOTOBOOTH IN THE 1920s AND HOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY IT CREATED A SPACE FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE FULL CREATIVE CONTROL OF THEIR IMAGE AND HOW THEY EXPRESS THEMSELVES.

I STARTED THE PROJECT BY SETTING UP A MOCK-UP PHOTOBOOTH WITH A CAMERA AND A WIRE TRIGGER WHICH VISITORS CAN CLICK TO TAKE THEIR OWN PICTURES AND ALLOW THE STUDENTS AND STAFF OF CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS TO EXPERIMENT WITH IT. THE PHOTOS WERE LATER DEVELOPED BY THE DESIGNERS (VELDON SALIM, REBEKAH GUO, GUS LANGFORD, ROSE CANHAM & BELINDA GREDIG) TO BE USED AS PRINTS FOR THE GARMENTS.

AFTER THE GARMENTS WERE COMPLETED, I WAS IN CHARGE OF THE PRESENTATION FOR THE CLIENTS AND PRODUCED THE LOOKBOOK, CAMPAIGN VIDEO, & SET DESIGN FOR THE PUBLIC PRESENTATION. ALONG WITH FASHION JOURNALIST STUDENT, KATE McCUSKER, WE CREATED THE PRESS PACK AND WEBSITE WITH ALL OF THE CONTENT THAT WE HAVE CREATED INCLUDING INTERVIEWS AND PRESS RELEASE.

SELF-O-MATIC   WAS CHOSEN TO BE THE WINNER FOR THE PROJECT, CHOSEN BY 20TH CENTURY FOX, SWAROVSKI, GRAZIA, TED BAKER & THE DIRECTOR OF 'THE GREATEST' SHOWMAN.
